 | AJEX REMEMBERS ANZAC DAY Representatives of the Association of Jewish Ex-Servicemen and Women (AJEX) attended to annual ANZAC Day Parade in Whitehall on 25 April. The event commemorates the landing of the Australian and New Zealand forces on the Gallipoli beaches in April 1915 but now pays homage to all the troops of those countries who have served or given their lives in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.The AJEX Wreath was laid by National Chairman, Jeffrey Fox who also attended the Service that followed in Westminster Abbey, accompanied by Deputy National Chairman, Brian Bloom & AJEX member, Jeff Borsack. Mr Fox, a former member of the Royal Army Medical Corps, said: “Thousands Jews served in the ANZAC forces who were commanded during the First World War by a Jewish officer, General Sir John Monash. It is important that we demonstrate the part that Jews have played in the defence of this country and the Commonwealth for over 250 years, and continue to do so. Importantly, we also pay tribute
|  | AJEX Mission to Israel 2013 This visit took place from the 3td to 7th February 2013. The party of 14 Members received very informative Briefings from Senior Officials and visited numerous Organizations.

|  | Arboretum Remembrance Service 2013 Next event: AJEX will be at the National War Memorial for the Annual Remembrance Service & March Past at the Arboretum, on 26th June 2013. The Ceremony starts at 11.00 am. If you have not yet visited the Arboretum, please try to attend. It is a most moving, emotional and rewarding experience. The AJEX Memorial stands in its own garden and the prominent location reflects the high esteem in which AJEX is held Nationally. Will all AJEX Branches please make every effort to be there.
