   Jeremy Beadle 1948 - 2008
It was with great sorrow that I heard of the death of Jeremy Beadle, writes Leonard Stern. His lively mind and quick wit made it a pleasure to be in his company. His boundless enthusiasm for life was a hallmark of his public persona, and one that he carried forward into everything that he undertook.

Although not Jewish himself he was a big supporter of Jewish charities, including Norwood, Jewish Care, Nightingale and Drug line.

It was estimated that he had raised over one hundred million pounds for charitable causes, for which he received the M.B.E. in 2001 We send our good wishes at this difficult time to his wife Sue, their children and wider family. The world will be a sadder and duller place without him.
