Over 200 people took part including a Fire Brigade Guard of Honour. The vicar read the Kaddish in Engish as part of the prayers, using an AJEX Parade programme provided by Martin. Aided by Stan Martin then laid a Star of David peg alongside the many wreaths at the memorial near the church on Bethnal Green itself. It is estimated that about 8 of the 173 victims of the incident were Jewish.
