Themed 'Side by Side,' the event attracted thousands of participant marchers and spectators who came together in a display of unity, pride and support.

Dedication to commemorate Dr. Kurt Erich Glauber

The unveiling of a headstone memorial at Ipswich Old Cemetery took place to commemorate Kurt Glauber. Kurt was an Austrian Jewish refugee who after settling in Ipswich in 1938, and signing up for the Pioneer Corps and Royal Artillery, volunteered with SOE/MI6 to undertake operations back in his native Vienna.

AJEX Present New Standard To CST

Today, at Community Security Trust (CST) a special dedication, presentation ceremony took place to unveil a new CST Standard. The ceremony was led by Rabbi Major Reuben Livingstone CF LLM, Senior Jewish Chaplain to HM Armed Forces and AJEX and attended by many people from both CST and AJEX.

On Sunday 16th July AJEX The Jewish Military Association conducted a special service of Remembrance at The Jewish War Memorial at Willesden Jewish Cemetery. The service paid tribute to the Jewish fallen of HM forces in both world wars and honoured those who have no known graves.

Holocaust Survivor Henny Franks never received medals for her service in the war. Today (Wednesday 28th June 2023) on her 100th birthday AJEX The Jewish Military Association presented Holocaust Survivor Henny Franks with Medals from the war that she never knew she was entitled to.

Remember in Red

During November schools took part in the AJEX Remembrance 2022 Campaign. This included AJEX speaking at a number of schools and some taking part in a Wear it in Red day to help AJEX raise money for Remembrance. Pupils wore an item of Red on the Friday leading up to AJEX Shabbat and the Parade.

Today the Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey was officially opened. This year marked the 93rd Westminster Abbey, Royal British Legion, Field of Remembrance. The RBL, Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey has been organised by The Poppy Factory since 1928.
