He takes over from Mike Bluestone who served as National Chairman for two and a half years.
Mr Bluestone was instrumental in navigating AJEX through the frequent challenges faced as a result of the Covid pandemic. He helped to build the organisation in a variety of ways, including its online presence and creating successful events both online and in person. This culminated in the recent AJEX Remembrance Parade and Ceremony which was attended by more than 2,000 people with over 25,000 online views.
With hundreds of thousands of Jews having served in the British Armed Forces during the World Wars, AJEX ensures that their immense contribution is never forgotten. Staff Sgt Fox is determined to build on the important work of AJEX in Remembrance, welfare and education and passing the legacy onto the next generation.
Welcoming his new role, Staff Sgt Dan Fox said, “It is a great honour to chair AJEX-JMA, which is such an important and historic part of our nation’s Jewish and military communities. I look forward to taking forward the incredible work AJEX does on welfare, education, Remembrance, and fighting antisemitism.”
